HowTech is one today. It's been quite a year – and we make no apology for marking it. But more than the birthday itself, we think a year of senior-led work tells you something important about what to expect when you work with us.

From day one, we made a deliberate choice: no juniors learning on the job, no generalists stretched beyond their depth. Every person at HowTech – and we're now a team of 13 – has done this before. At scale, in regulated industries, under real commercial pressure. Software development, cyber security, AI consultancy, design, fractional CTO and CIO services – we cover a lot of ground, and we cover it with people who have the experience to back it up. That matters to you as a client, because it means the person who scopes your project is the person who delivers it. There's no handoff to a more junior team once the contract is signed.

In our first year, our clients have included John Lewis, Cornish Mutual, PHC, international mining company The Quartz Corp, and local businesses including Wascle and Fibrehub – to name but a few. That breadth is intentional. We work with organisations at very different scales, and we build our approach around what each one actually needs, not a one-size-fits-all package.
