Practical technology writing for UK SMEs
Most technology writing is either vendor marketing or enterprise theory that assumes a team of thirty and a budget to match. This is neither. Everything here comes out of work we have actually done for UK SMEs – cyber assessments, cloud migrations, fractional CTO engagements, compliance projects and bespoke builds – written up while the detail is still fresh and the numbers are still real.
We cover four things in rotation: cyber security and the certifications buyers now ask for, the regulation landing on UK businesses and what it changes in practice, how to adopt AI and cloud without buying a problem, and how good design, accessibility and architecture decisions compound over time. Where a piece is about our own work – our WCAG 2.2 AA remediation of this very site, for instance – we publish the failures alongside the fixes.
New to us? Start with why cyber security is a winning strategy, what the DUAA means for UK SME websites or what we learned in our first year. If a piece raises a question about your own setup, talk to us – we would rather answer it properly than sell you something.
